Wilson brings twenty years of design and product development leadership in the areas of Youth Focused Electronics, Preschool Learning and Developmental Toys, Consumer Electronics and Business Systems providing a unique perspective on the confluence of electronics, education and toys.
Wilson oversees various aspects of product development for clients including LeapFrog, Hasbro, Fisher-Price, Binney & Smith, Oregon Scientific, Baby Einstein Co., LLC, and Readia, L.L.C. His team was responsible for the full range of VTech products from infant toys to preteen lifestyle products.
In his two years at VTech, Wilson spearheaded a fundamental shift in the company and the way they developed products. He helped VTech evolve from a manufacturing and engineering-dominated process to one driven by consumer needs, marketing and design. In 2002, Wilson restructured and relocated VTech’s Product Development team from the Chicago area to head up the new VTech Global Product Design Studio in Norwalk, Connecticut
