Hank Sokol is a sales and marketing executive with extensive experience in National Accounts. His strengths lie in knowledge of launching new and unique products, negotiating in the private label market, introducing niche items, developing programs with national accounts, and securing distribution on a national level. His knowledge of introducing foreign products into the United States market and creating a demand for them has been extremely successful. Upon graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Business, Hank began his career with Mid-Continent Oil Supply as a sales manager. His primary responsibilities were the sale of oil field equipment in South Texas and Mexico. After leaving there, Hank joined Bristol Meyers as a sales representative and was quickly promoted to manager for the Chicago area. In 1983 Hank joined The Mentholatum Company, known for its quality products and the practice of formulating items that contain all natural ingredients. Brands such as Mentholatum Ointment and Fletchers Castoria were targeted for younger consumers. During his tenure he was involved in launching items such as Softlips, Mentholatum Pain Patch, and Eye Care products from Japan and more. As Vice President of Sales he was responsible for trade relations, trade shows, national accounts, and broker management. He has a successful record in obtaining distribution, formulating programs to increase sales movement, and soliciting the opinions, ideas and feedback from accounts in developing effective displays. His intuition and creativity to cross merchandise products and incorporate a profit program have resulted in incremental sales for both the manufacturer and account. Hank has always valued the advice and direction of everyone with which he works. His ‘team player attitude’ promotes a ‘collaborative atmosphere’ that involves all levels of a company. By valuing all departments and their contributions to the sales effort, success is achieved with a ‘win-win’ outcome for all. Hank later joined Multisorb Technologies, a high quality desiccant manufacturer, as Director of Sales and Marketing. This experience enabled Hank to understand selling Business to Business to such accounts as Hoffman LaRoche, Pfizer, King Pharmaceutical and other large proprietary corporations. It also presented Hank an opportunity to experience a technical field that dealt with formulating products that contribute to the stability of pharmaceutical items, food products, and medical devices. Hank joined Nurturing Results as a result of the growing trend in providing safe, healthy, natural and effective products for children. The importance of bringing these products to market and making them available is his number one priority. He lives with his wife, Faye in Buffalo, New York where they enjoy boating on Lake Erie and all that Western New York and Southern Ontario have to offer. They also spend time with friends and family all over the country. |
